Tuesday, May 06, 2003 ::: Had a great day at school... spent the last 2 lessons taking photos... can't believe that we spent 2 lessons playing with cellotape... we're really pathetic haha! And then went to Festival walk, wanting to feed myself a decent meal... but then ended up eating popcorn for lunch at AMC while watching X-men 2... which I'm still not sure whether it's a smart move or not. X2 isn't too bad though, just bear in mind that if you really have to watch it you shouldn't bring in some common sense and logic, not to mention the laws of physics to the theater with you. Apart from this "minor flaw", everything else is just fine. The story itself is... I guess I just don't have to explain... heroes vs cowards. Heroes won in the end (oops did I give out the ending of the film?) But then the action and special EFX are OK I would say. Quite impressed by the fighting scene at the start. At the end of that scene, a guy called Nightcrawler was trying to stab the President of the United States. But then 1 of the guard fired at Nightcrawler. In that splitsecond before Nightcrawler slammed the knife, Nightcrawler was shot. He dropped the knife. The President was saved. silence in the theatre after 2 seconds "WOW!" Otto exclaimed, totally absorbed in the movie, being the only 1 in the cinema to make a sound. Otto you are just sooooooo cute!
